In another media appearance, PEFNC President Darrell Allison joined “Capital Tonight” host Tim Boyum to discuss the NC Opportunity Scholarship Program.

Allison said the statistics show that our low-income children are not all doing well in a “one size fits all” educational model (336,000 low-income students in North Carolina did not pass end of grade tests last year), and that parents are seeking options to help them. The focus, he said, must be about providing all of the state’s children with a quality education that meets their specific needs.
