The Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program measure was heard in the House Finance Committee this morning. North Carolina General Assembly staff and bill sponsors explained the bill and took questions from committee members. The committee also received public comment on the measure.

After a lengthy discussion, the measure failed in the committee by a 11-11 vote. While the vote was even, the opportunity to overcome this stalemate and move this measure forward will not happen this legislative session.
