Public charter school applicants presented to the North Carolina Public Charter School Advisory Council today. Applicants had an opportunity to present responses to areas highlighted by the Council since their initial application submission to the Office of Charter Schools in April.
The following charters were approved by the Council today and sent to the State Board of Education for approval. If approved by the State Board of Education, the schools would open in the 2013-14 school year. Click on the school to learn more about the proposed public charter.
One of the charter school applicants, Addie Morris Children’s School, was not given approval by the Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council will consider 14 schools tomorrow and 10 more on Wednesday. Click here to see a full list of charter school applicants and their application.
